DRS launches secure multi-channel election voting for commercial elections and consultations
Leading election specialist DRS has partnered with e-voting expert Mi-Voice to deliver secure multi-channel election voting for commercial elections and consultations. The online voting solution Participation allows organisations to achieve greater engagement and increased participation, whilst reducing administration costs and gaining a greater understanding of turnout.
Created with the stakeholder engagement needs of local authorities, associations, universities, schools, professional bodies, charities and trade unions in mind, the online voting solution can be licensed for a single event or annually, allowing organisations to run multiple elections at a fraction of the cost of paying for each one individually.
In order to achieve greater engagement and increased participation, online voting accepts direct votes from the internet, mobile phones and landlines, whilst paper votes can also be scanned in to provide a consolidated result. Security is also improved with online voting as each person can only vote through the use of a unique voter code.
Organisations already benefiting from the system include The Architectural Association, Institution of Chemical Engineers, Oxford University Student Union, Manchester and Lancaster Universities and many Local Authorities including Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire County Councils and Sunderland City Council.
