DRS Data Services Limited announces two key director-level appointments
Global data capture specialist, DRS has started 2011 stronger than ever with two new director appointments.
After eight years with DRS, Graham Hudson has become director of electronic assessment; a role that will see him grow the electronic marking services offering for the UK and international market. Hudson has over 25 years’ experience in implementing and managing large-scale assessments within the UK, including the key stage national curriculum tests for QCA. He has also been instrumental in the success of DRS’ flagship e-Marker® product that is used in the UK and worldwide by awarding bodies such as Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) and WJEC.
Steve Beats has been reappointed technical director of the Company, a role he previously held before being seconded to head up DRS’ R&D department. As technical director, Steve will be responsible for overseeing product and software development within DRS and ensuring support of new technologies. Beats has over 25 years’ experience in varied software and product development disciplines including 12 years with Commodore Business Machines in the USA and 12 years with DRS. He was responsible for the development of DRS’ award winning PS900 scanner range and has invaluable experience in the area of image capture.
